The Real True Hero Of Death Note:

We often sees Light as an anti-hero in the series,but what about the real hero of it? Of course most people would say L. Some would say it's Near. Yeah,no. In my own opinion,the real hero of Death Note is either Matsuda and Ryuk. If you think about it. Let's start off with Matsuda,shall we?

So Matsuda has been in the Kira case for the beginning. He is the comedic relief of the entire show and has his own point of view. Later on,he's able to see and interact with Ryuk without any shocking reaction or whatsoever. He knows how suspicious Light was since the beginning. After learning more about the Death Note and that Light is indeed Kira,he was more than welcome to take action. He shoots at Light. While Light tried to manipulate him into killing Near and the others (Which failed miserably),Matsuda does not fall for it as he revealed that this was the reason that lead to Soichiro's death to begin with. He then proceed to end Light by shooting him continuously but was stopped by everyone else. When Light escaped,his wound was so fatal he became weaker and weaker. Ryuk proceeds to kill Light by writing his name in his Death Note. This happened all because of Matsuda. Not only is he a hero,but he is very brave and has never gave up. Matsuda knew what he was doing. Useful or not,he knows what he can do. He didn't even die from the Death Note because he used a fake name,which is literally smart. In my opinion,Matsuda deserves a medal for his courage. 

Now let's move on to Ryuk. Most people thought of Ryuk as a villain. But here's the thing with him: He's not. Ryuk is actually neutral. He is on neither side,like he said so in the first episode. He's basically here for entertainment. We actually learned from the first episode that he was willing to kill Light when the time has come. Ryuk didn't want to wait for Light to be in prison because to him,it's not worth his time. Killing him was the best option for Ryuk to do. In the live action movie Death Note The Last Name,Ryuk kills Light in front of Soichiro (Light's father),L,Misa and the others. No,for real! It happened. Light died in his father's arms,courtesy of Ryuk. In the manga,Light forces Ryuk to kill everyone including Near in his own Death Note. While it appears he's being doing so,he reveals he has been writing Light's name instead,killing him. In the Drama series,Ryuk doesn't help Light to get out of the burning warehouse that was caused by Mikami and instead left him to die alone in the flames.
